Debbie Davy
Debbie Davy is President of Mastertechwriter Inc. and a technical communicator with more than 20 years of experience. Debbie is a Senior Member of the IEEE's Professional Communication Society (PCS) and the Society of Technical Communicators (STC), and has won the Toronto and Southwestern Ontario Chapter Award of Excellence and three Awards of Merit for published articles.Debbie provides documentation project leadership, problem identification, and solution analysis for stakeholders of corporate-wide Corporate Information Security, Business Continuity, SOX Communications, Security and Privacy, and Strategic Information Systems. Some of Debbie's clients include Rogers, Nortel, Smart Systems for Health Agency, Capgemini Canada Inc., Accenture Canada Inc., CIBC, and Giesecke and Devrient GmbH.
Recently, Debbie peer reviewed the proposed ISO/IEC CD 26514 Software and systems engineering — User documentation requirements for documentation designers and developers, and is currently pursuing Mercer University’s Master of Science in Technical Communication Management degree. In 2006, Debbie was appointed to fulfill the remaining term for AdCom - the Administrative Committee of the IEEE PCS, composed of representatives from Regions 1-6 (USA), Region 7 (Canada), Region 8 (Europe/Middle East/Africa), Region 9 (Latin/South America), and Region 10 (Asia Pacific).
