Peter Slater

Peter Slater is an experienced program, project and change manager with over 20 years of progressive business and managerial experience. He has strong practical knowledge in project leadership, facilitation and business analysis and transformation. Peter has developed an acute sense of timing, an appreciation of diplomacy and the art of influence. He is highly flexible and adaptive with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. His many successes in developing and managing multi-million dollar, multi-stakeholder projects demonstrate his abilities to assist organisations recognize the case for change, define a clear change path and direct and guide project teams and staff along that path.

REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE Ontario Ministry of Revenue – Strategy Committee and PMO: Reporting directly to the Commissioner of Revenue for Ontario, assisted the Commissioner establish the Ministry’s Transformation Strategy Committee and the Ministry’s Strategic Project Management Office. Achieved this through:

  • Facilitating confirmation of the scope and mandate of the PMO, and the Revenue Transformation Strategy Committee
  • Developing and implementing an integrated status report for use by the Ministry‟s senior management team and refining individual status reports to effectively feed the integrated report
  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive PMO rollout plan
  • Coaching of PMO staff, executive sponsors and project managers in their new roles
