
Mary Pearson
Mary Pearson has over 25 years of management consulting experience for large complex organization in both the private and public sectors. She has led projects in the federal, provincial, and municipal sectors involving significant change along with leading major change initiatives in private sector organizations. Mary is active in a number of professional associations including, Certified Consultants International, Canadian Association of Applied Social Sciences, O.D. Canada, and Women Entrepreneurs of Canada. She has held director ships in the Women Entrepreneurs of Canada, O.D. Canada, and Pathfinders.A sampling of her assignments is noted below:
- Conducted strategic planning and developed recommendations for the organization of a new government sponsored agency dedicated to promoting Ontario’s building industry.
- Facilitated strategic and tactical business planning with the senior executive and directors of Cadbury Chocolates of Canada.
- Facilitated strategic planning for the Civil Law Division of the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General.
- Conducted a review of the structure, facilitated a strategic and operational plan and advised on the re-organization of the management structure of the Science Council of Canada.
- Conducted strategic planning for the town of Orangeville with the Mayor’s Office, members of Council and senior management staff to develop a long term Vision for the Town.
- Assisted several broader public sector stakeholders and the provincial Office of the Chief Information Officer with a plan for developing a proposed Data Centre.
- Consulted with the Office of the Chief Information Officer of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador with developing a model for their governance and planning processes.
- Developed a plan for roles, responsibilities and organizational implication of new privacy legislation on the Office of the Chief Information Officer for the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador.
- Assisted the management of a government health agency with a plan for staff relocation.
