David Mahy

In David Mahy's career of more than 30 years, he has held progressively more responsible human resources positions in Education, Medical Care, Long Term Care, Hospitality and Manufacturing.

David has developed an effective leadership style in staff relations and established a proven track record in building respectful and trusting relations in union and non-union work places. He is successful in mediating complaints to mutually acceptable resolution. His focus is on developing the human resource skills of managers and implementing best practices. He excels at staff communications which elicit collaborative attitudes. He employs interest based bargaining techniques and attempt to ensure both parties understand the others perspectives.

In managing the human resources team, his focus is on delivering professional and timely support for managers. His goal is that each member of the team is mentored to become an effective consultant to line supervisors and management.

David brings a perspective to the role of Human Resources which is directed to being a key resource for managers in the building of a work environment known for staff excellence.
